Redline Protocol is a side-view squad-defense shooter set in a cyberpunk future. Recruit a squad of characters through an in-game gacha (no real-money purchases), gear them up, and hold line while waves of enemies push in from the right. Each of the five classes: Tank, Bruiser, Sniper, Artillery, and Support, brings her own auto-attack style and a tap-to-trigger special ability, so building and positioning a five-woman squad matters as much as raw stats.
Outside of combat, gifts and affection unlock character gallery events narrative scenes and CG art gated behind how well you know each character.

Roster
- Fixed Redwake’s gallery event images, which had gone missing after a reimport.
Campaign
- The campaign roadmap is expanded from 30 to 50 stages across 5 chapters, with new story beats woven through the run.
- Stage 1 is restored to its intended solo tutorial difficulty (a recent bug had it spawning a full-size wave instead of the tutorial’s smaller one).
- Enemy toughness now scales HP and damage separately per stage, so late bosses hit harder without turning every regular enemy into a damage sponge.
- The “SQUAD CHECK” advice on the stage prep screen now gives one concrete suggestion (recruit, fill a squad slot, equip available gear, deal with flying enemies, or level up) instead of a vague power estimate.
- The profile screen’s Level Up button now shows exactly how much XP is needed and spends exactly that amount.
Abyss
- Abyss now previews the exact rewards for your next floor before you deploy, split out for first-time versus repeat floors.
- The Abyss card and shop now call out the cheapest cosmetic you’re still missing, its cost in Marks, and roughly how many floors will get you there.
- New Abyss Shop cosmetics: five titles (Abyss Sovereign, Abyss Walker, Rift Veteran, Void Ascendant, Void Survivor) and three borders (Void Frame, Inferno, Storm).
- Equipped Abyss titles and borders now show up correctly on the friends leaderboard instead of only appearing on your own profile.
- Fixed a bug in the Abyss Shop.
- A new Abyss season’s Floor 1 is no longer oddly easy: its difficulty now starts in line with the campaign stage that unlocks Abyss, instead of being pinned to campaign stage 1’s difficulty.
Progression and Economy
- Daily login, Command Tower, and daily mission rewards are all increased, so newer players can afford recruiting and gear upgrades without grinding stages endlessly.
- Tanks are noticeably tankier: base HP is up about 27%, and a bug that had their HP/Defense growth per level quietly stuck at a much lower rate than intended is fixed.
- Early pulls are smarter: while you own fewer than 5 characters, Common-tier character pulls can no longer land on someone you already have.
- Gifting is now locked once a character reaches maximum affection, since there’s nothing left to gain from it.
- Support’s Heal/Buff Pulse ability now targets the lowest-HP ally anywhere in the squad, not just allies within range.
Settings
- Added a “Reset Progression” option to Settings, letting you wipe your save and start over (keeping your completed tutorial) without needing a special debug build.
Consistency and Fixes
- Hub, Combat, and the developer debug menu now all use the same alpha character roster (Combat and the debug menu previously referenced the full, unreleased roster).
- Fixed a visual scale bug affecting some characters’ combat sprites.
- Fixed your leaderboard rank being thrown off by anonymous accounts with no display name. Your rank now only counts players who could actually appear on the public board.
- Fixed a rejected display name change clearing what you’d typed.
- Fixed the game getting stuck reporting “offline” after certain backend resets instead of reconnecting automatically.
- Various additional Hub UI and stability fixes.

This is an development build, expect bugs, unfinished feature, missing stuff, did I mentioned bugs?
This is also our second game, we tried something different from the first one, but we tried to keep the quality, and improve on it.

if you’re an AI image artist, unfortunately as you can see we’ve got that covered ^^; if you do know how to make AI animation on the cheap side (or the fast side), we could be interested though.
