Now, about the update itself… Overall, I think it turned out pretty decent, in my humble opinion.

Even though we’ll still be spending most of our time with… Rose and Alice, occasionally getting distracted by the other ladies… I tried to give every girl at least a little bit of personal attention. So, overall… you’ll get to learn a little more about pretty much everyone.

And, as always, I tried to work on the pacing and dialogue, making the conversations feel a little more… alive? Did I succeed? I’d give myself a solid 6/10, which I’m actually pretty happy with. (Still plenty of room for improvement, though.)

As for the H-scene… I actually had preparations for a second scene, but in the end, I decided to remove it. Why? It happened too quickly, felt awkward, and honestly… kind of pointless. (Not quite on the level of the first scene with Anya, but still.)

And unfortunately, after getting some feedback, I’m not completely satisfied with the ending either. Everyone says it’s… fitting? And for some reason, I’m not entirely happy with that. I originally wanted to create something closer to the ending with Lena. But well… that’s something to keep in mind for the future.

Bugs have been fixed, quick events have been added, choices now lead into future content, along with some UI changes, and— Oh, right! I also added a cheat button, similar to the one in the space opera (Astreon), for anyone whose saves decide to explode. (And honestly, there’s a pretty decent chance that might happen.)

As for the map, lore, ranks, and all the other complicated, less exciting, and currently unnecessary worldbuilding stuff… I’ll add all of that later to a proper codex for anyone interested in digging deeper into the world. (I’ll try to get it done by the public release.)

Now, for some numbers:

And… I think that’s about it. At least, that’s everything related to Clown Squad.

I’m planning to work on Part 3 after the next Astreon update, because, frankly… I’m burned out. Now…

Regarding the progress: due to some real-life matters, I had to adjust my plans a little.

As a result, the remaining part of the renders and text has been moved to the next chapter, which, if everything goes well, should be released in about a month. That said, even in its current form, the chapter should take around 3-4 hours to complete, which I personally think is pretty decent (For that amount of time, 2 month?)

Now, about this part of the act itself. For the most part, this update is focused on developing three girls:

Alice, the catgirl. Rose, the android. And… just Lena.

I also tried to reveal a little more about the main character here and there, but that’s more of a side note.

The main problem of our beloved space opera, Astreon, has been completely removed here: the pacing.

This time, the pacing feels quite solid, and I’d say it’s probably one of the biggest improvements compared to the previous version.

Though, of course, that’s not really for me to judge.

As for the translation, I’ll try to translate the game into Chinese before the release, but I can’t guarantee the quality of the translation.

After that, I’ll pass the simplified version to the translator.
