New Quests
- Cory & Nikki: Continue the game’s main storyline with a new quest involving both characters.
- Emily: Dig into her past by investigating former members through the Radio Room.
- Lena: Two connected quests! First, head to the Old Bus Terminal to negotiate. Once you’ve completed that quest, a second one has a chance to trigger randomly when you sleep.
- Sophia: A new encounter in the Forest. Find out what happened and decide the fate of everyone involved.
- Kenzie: Continue her bunker storyline and recover some laboratory equipment.
- Sarah: If you didn’t recruit her during your first encounter, you now have another chance. Explore a supply depot together and talk about her moving into your base.
- Skyler: Recruit her to your base or help her settle into a House in the Residential District.
New Features
- Infirmary: This building will eventually have two different paths. For now, you can turn it into a Laboratory and start researching zombies. (No, you can’t bang them. Not yet.)
- Residents: They finally have a proper role at your base! Residents can now produce Refined Materials. There isn’t much to do with those materials just yet, but that’ll change in future updates.
- Radio Room: I’ve reworked almost everything to make it easier to understand and use. Instead of five channels, there are now three. They serve pretty much the same purpose, just in a much better way.
- Laboratory: This is only the beginning. In future updates, the vials you create will let you calm zombies down and, well… do pretty much whatever you want with them.
- Quest Notes: You asked for it. Quests now have a Notes section where you can check what you can currently do to progress.
- Auto-Saves: The game now automatically saves every night. You can adjust how frequently it saves in Settings.
- Back & Forward: Some players were experiencing lag, so I’ve changed how the game handles scene history. You can now adjust how many previous scenes are kept available. This should help reduce those performance issues.
Other Changes
- Energy: Travel costs are now standardized and include the return trip. Moving around within the same region will no longer charge you repeatedly for the same journey.
- UI: I’ve updated several parts of the interface, including combat screens, enemy portraits, and location layouts. You can also hide map descriptions now, so you won’t have to scroll past the same text every single time.
- Residents & Slaves: They’ve received almost twice as much content, with plenty of new videos to watch. That’s pretty much it. Double the rewards for doing absolutely nothing extra, I guess.
- Videos: Some videos were assigned to the wrong categories. I’ve gone through them and fixed what I could find, especially for Sarah and Emily. I think everything is where it belongs now. In future updates, I’ll also be replacing some of Cory’s videos with ones that fit the game better, and probably doing the same for other characters.
