This update ended up being a pretty big one, not only because of the new content, but also because I decided to experiment with something I’ve wanted to try for a while:

Succubus Island is now available on Android and Linux!

Android + Linux Builds

For the first time, I’ve made an Android APK and a Linux build of the game.

The Linux version was possible thanks to WSL, and the Android version is my first real attempt at bringing Succubus Island to mobile.

Both are still beta builds, though, and this is where I could really use your help.

If you try either version, please let me know if you encounter bugs, crashes, broken UI, missing assets, or anything else that doesn’t behave correctly.

I’m especially interested in Android feedback since there are obviously many different devices and screen configurations I can’t test myself.

PC vs Android

There are some differences between the PC and Android versions.

The biggest one is the minigames.

On Android, minigames are disabled by default, so the game currently plays more like a traditional visual novel.

On PC, I’ve added a new option that lets you turn the minigames OFF.

When disabled, the game follows a more VN-focused experience, without requiring you to play the minigames.

This is still a beta experiment. As Succubus Island gets more story and plot content, I’ll keep refining how this works and how the two experiences fit together.

The new Card Game

One of the biggest additions in v0.5 is the new TCG-style card game featuring Selene.

There are currently 29 unique cards, with Monsters, Spells and Traps, along with mechanics involving Corruption and Lust.

You can build your own deck, challenge Selene, unlock rewards, and eventually discover some special cards.

And yes…

Beat Selene three times and you’ll unlock something special.

Memories & Hidden Secrets

The new Memories system is also here.

It keeps track of animations you’ve unlocked, giving you a small archive of the things you’ve discovered throughout the game.

I’ve also started adding hidden collectibles and easter eggs around the island.

Some of them might be easier to find than others…

✍ More customization

v0.5 also introduces more freedom when it comes to the relationships you define for Mia and Susan, with the game adapting certain dialogue depending on what you enter.

I’ve also continued improving the dialogue system, UI scaling, text boxes, hotspots, and general quality-of-life features.

And of course, there are new scenes and interactions throughout the island, including more moments with Ruby and Selene.

I know this is still an early WIP, but Succubus Island is still in active development. Future updates will continue expanding the island with new locations, characters, story routes, and scenes.
